Before and After Cabinetry

The Before and After photos of cabinets and vanities are so important in any project.  The Before shows you what you have been living with and the After shows you what you choose to live with.  Helping you get to the right choice for your kitchen cabinets or bathroom vanities is a very enjoyable part of the process for us.  We like to problem solve with your layout and together we bring our cabinet design experience, creativity, and practicality to the process.

We are also very open to working with your chosen interior designer or kitchen and bath designer and feel we can be instrumental in making their designs fit your space.  Fred, a finish carpenter and cabinet maker for the Seattle area for almost 30 years, has the experience of cabinet design and installation, so he knows how the cabinets need to go together to look good.

Put all this together with cabinets from Schrocks of Walnut Creek (pure quality and beauty) and you will be very happy in your choice of how you want to live in your home.

Kitchen Cabinetry Seattle

The owners of this Seattle kitchen wanted to update their older cabinets in style and function.  They chose banks of drawers over doors for their cabinets.  This is one way to improve the function in your kitchen.  Full extension drawers are more efficient than doors with pullouts.  The white Corian counter and the warm stained Birch cabinets gave the owners what they wanted.

Kitchen Cabinets Kirkland

The owners of this home in Kirkland chose Shaker kitchen cabinets and Granite countertops to update their design and maximize their storage.  We removed the soffits with cabinets to the ceiling, enlarged the island, and added a wall cabinet.  Glass doors in two of the cabinets add more dimension as well as the pendant lights over the island.  The owners chose contemporary pulls and  Cherry stained Knotty Birch cabinetry to create a warm blend of modern and traditional.

Kitchen Cabinets Tacoma

This is an older condominium in Tacoma with a very livable layout and views of mountains and the sound.  The owners wanted to update their kitchen style and materials, but mostly wanted to improve function.  Cooking in this space was difficult for two people.  By moving the peninsula two feet out into the large dining area, removing the drop ceiling, short wall and beam, moving the range away from the refrigerator and the sink to the peninsula, the space became much more user friendly.

They are very happy with their choice of Quartz countertops and Shaker cabinetry.  More storage space and more counter space make cooking in their new kitchen enjoyable.

Kitchen Pantry Cabinet Seattle

The owners of this older home in the Magnolia area wanted better use of the closet in a small hallway just off the kitchen. By removing the closet door, widening the wall opening, and installing a built in pantry kitchen cabinet, our design added great storage and blended well with their existing kitchen cabinets and style of their Seattle home.

Bathroom Vanities Seattle

The vanity cabinet from a prior remodel was squeezed into the tight space next to the door, resulting in a narrow counter depth and the door casing cut for the counter top.  We notched the new cabinet to allow for a deeper counter in the sink area and room for the door trim.  Not only is it functional, but it also adds interest to the Shaker style vanity cabinet and overall bathroom design in this Phinney Ridge area home in Seattle.

Bathroom Cabinets Seattle

More views of the Shaker vanity cabinet mentioned above.  This bathroom cabinet has the look of Cherry because of the extra staining process used by our cabinet maker, but is actually made in Birch, which is harder than Cherry, more durable, and about 20% less in cost.  Many customers come to us thinking they want Cherry cabinets and end up choosing Birch.

We assisted in the complete bathroom remodel of this older bungalow style home in Seattle, using Marmoleum flooring, Corian shower surround and counter tops, and paint colors to add timeless quality to the room.

Kitchen Cabinets Woodinville

This kitchen is in a larger home in Woodinville with large lots and beautiful mature trees.  The owners went to Wendy Albee, an Interior Designer for the Seattle area, including Bellevue and the East Side. She helped them update their kitchen and solve some existing design problems in the room.  As you can see, she enlarged the island and added seating, removed a closet and some wall cabinets, added built in hutch cabinetry, removed part of a wall to open up the sink area and used two colors of Shaker cabinets in the room for interest and effect.

The owners were very happy with the function and furniture quality of the new kitchen cabinets, the island seating, and the more open feeling of the room.

Built in Cabinetry Woodinville

This is the family room next to the Woodinville kitchen shown above.  The new bookcases were made similar to the kitchen cabinets to pull the two rooms together.  Theses cabinets are built in and look as though they have always  been in this room. They offer a nice warm element to the space.

Custom Furniture Seattle

The owners of this home in the Magnolia area of Seattle were looking for cleaner looking storage cabinetry for the bar area in their dining room.  We designed the base cabinet to look like a freestanding furniture piece because of the vent on the floor below, and so it could easily be moved to their next home.  The wall cabinet was given the same considerations.  It all fit their Tudor style home very well.  The owners were pleased with the look and the function and how well it went with their kitchen cabinets in the next room.

Kitchen Cabinets Spokane

The cabinetry in this older Spokane home was ready for a change.  The owners had wanted better function in their kitchen.  We pushed the range wall two feet into their back porch, which made all the difference in the world.  Because of access to the basement, the susan cabinet in the corner had to be notched, which left only the top shelf of the susan and a shallow stationary shelf below it.  Shrocks was able to construct this very special cabinet with a small upcharge.  This is another example of just what Schrocks can provide.
